Our first Inspired Movement Challenge starts Monday, April 12th and you are all invited to join!⁠

We have collaborated with local foot experts to bring you ‘From the Ground Up⁠’, a 14 day challenge focusing on foot health.⁠

Each day we will spotlight ways to help your tootsies by giving you actionable steps to take right now and offering movement minis that can easily be incorporated into any movement practice!⁠

Read carefully below to learn how to participate in this challenge:⁠

1. Follow us on Instagram or like our FB page. Content will be posted daily on both platforms for the first 7 days of the challenge.⁠⁠

2. Complete the daily movement minis and actionable steps. The movement minis are designed to build off of each other, if you missed a day please go back and complete before moving ahead.⁠⁠

3. Comment on our posts when you have completed your daily foot challenge. Better yet share photos or videos directly to us! OR post them on your own social media.⁠⁠

Day 13 Try this super secret recipe from Loren!

Oakley’s Special Soak

½ cup parts Epsom Salt
¼ cup Baking Soda
⅛ cup Sea Salt
10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
5 Drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
5 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil
5 Drops of Rosemary Essential Oil

You can also use 10 - 30 drops of any essential oils you like or try our “Into the Trees” Welcome Blend for an added grounded feeling during your foot soak.

Grab a bucket, add the super secret ingredients, fill with warm water, stick your tootsies in and relax!

Day 11 Movement Mini April 22

✨Walk this way! And all the other ways..

Try these novel ways of walking. Note that there should be a soft bend for some movements

🦶Plantar flexion:Lift up on to the balls of your feet and walk around the space your in, going forwards, backwards, heck, throw in a grapevine or two!

🦶🦶 Outer Edge: Now that we’ve brought awareness to the outer edge of the foot (and perhaps how sensitive that area is) try walking this way. If you are prone to spraining or “rolling” your ankle, maybe give this a go on one foot and then the other. Actively press the ground away with the outer edge of your foot to propel yourself forward

🦶🦶🦶Inner edge: Keep a bend to the knees and weight towards the midline of your body.

🦶🦶🦶🦶Heel Strike: Challenge your balance and try walking on your heels!

Bonus brain points for walking backwards ;)
